Terms of use

Last updated: October 8, 2026. The rules of My Emouna, in plain words: what the service offers you, what it is not, and what we expect of each other.

Purpose

These terms of use govern the use of My Emouna, available at myemouna.com (myemouna.fr redirects to it) and published by Devon Engine (see the legal notice).

My Emouna offers a playful questionnaire about your Jewish life, in a short version (about 5 minutes) or a full version (about 10 minutes), which leads to your results: a score out of 1000, a level, a biblical profile, an action plan and a challenge. Mini-games and sharing options complete the service.

Acceptance

By using My Emouna, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

They can be consulted at any time from the bottom of every page. The applicable version is the one online when you use the service.

Access and free service

My Emouna is free: no payment method is ever requested. The service is funded in particular by partnerships and advertising, never targeted based on your answers.

All you need is a device connected to the Internet and a recent browser. Connection costs remain your responsibility.

How the results work

Your results are based solely on your own answers: it is a declarative self-assessment. The questions are adapted to your profile (gender, age, situation, country, practice framework), and what does not apply to you never counts against you.

The calculation method and weightings are public, on the “Methodology” and “Scoring” pages. The result depends on how honestly you answer; it may change if you go deeper or retake the questionnaire.

What the results are not

They are not a judgement of your worth, nor of whether you are a “good Jew”. Only Hashem sees into the heart: the score is a playful mirror to help you grow, one mitzvah at a time.

They are not a halakhic ruling. For any practical or halakhic question, ask a rav or a rabbanit.

They are not religious, medical or psychological advice, and do not replace the advice of a professional.

We take great care with the content, but it may contain mistakes or overlook a custom. You can report them to contact@myemouna.com: every message is reviewed.

No account, just your first name and email

There is no account and no password. To see your results, you must enter your first name and email address and tick the box by which you consent to your data being stored. A second, optional box lets you receive our news.

You agree to give your own email address, never someone else's without their permission.

Your answers are also kept in your device's browser. If you clear its data or change device, you will not find them in the app: write to us if you need a copy of your stored results.

Minors

My Emouna is open to all ages. If you are under 15, you need the agreement of a parent or of the person with parental authority before giving your first name and email (see the privacy policy).

Your commitments

You agree to use My Emouna in good faith and for personal use. In particular, the following are prohibited: abusing or misusing the service; automated extraction of its content (scraping); automated submission of answers or forms; using another person's email address; any attempt to disrupt, circumvent or compromise the service or its security.

In the event of a breach, we may delete the data concerned and block access, without prejudice to any legal action.

Sharing your results

You can share your result (WhatsApp, image, link). What is shared is limited to what you choose to show: your first name, your level, your biblical profile, and your score if you turned it on.

You alone are responsible for what you share and who you share it with. The apps used for sharing have their own terms.

Intellectual property

The texts, questions, scoring grid, logo, visual identity and design of My Emouna belong to the publisher and are protected by intellectual property law. Any reproduction or reuse without written permission is prohibited, except as allowed by law.

Quotations from Jewish sources (Torah, Talmud, commentaries…) belong to our common heritage.

You are of course free to share your own results, for personal purposes, with the sharing tools provided.

Liability

My Emouna is provided free of charge, as is. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for decisions you make solely on the basis of your results, for any errors or omissions in the content, or for indirect damage linked to the use or unavailability of the service.

These limits do not apply in the event of gross negligence or wilful misconduct by the publisher, to personal injury, or to the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

Availability and changes to the service

We do our best to keep My Emouna available at all times, but cannot guarantee it: maintenance, technical incidents or outages at our providers may interrupt it.

The publisher may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service. If it is permanently discontinued, the data stored on our server will be deleted.

Personal data

Your data, some of which is sensitive because it relates to your religious practice, is processed with your explicit consent. Everything is explained in the privacy policy, available from the bottom of every page.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, in particular to reflect changes to the service or the law. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. If there is a significant change, people who gave us their email may be informed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.

If there is a problem, please write to us first at contact@myemouna.com: we will look for an amicable solution together. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent French courts.
